Let your creativity flow in designing 3D models on one of the leading 3D packages, Autodesk Inventor. Then make your creation come to life in printing your model in 3D. 3D printing is becoming an integral part of engineering design.

Admission requirements :

Knowledge, comprehension and application of computers is compulsory. A knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage

Selection Procedure:

Access to this qualification is open, bearing in mind learning assumed to be in place.

Programme content :

• An Introduction to 3D printing
• The 3D printing process
• How to create 3D models
• Developing modelling skills
• Design challenge
• Basic materials and slicing
• Assessment
• 3D printing in our society
• Print own design


10 Saturdays from 08:00 – 12:00 (Part time)

Career path/ Opportunities:

• Junior modelling draughtsperson.
• Research and Development.
• 3D printing operator.

Course Fees

R3 850.00 per course.
R100 for printed model.
All monies is payable before the course commences.

On successful completion of this programme, the student will receive an African Academy Certificate.
