A learnership is a structured learning programme that includes provider-based training and workplace experience. Learnerships have replaced the previous system of apprenticeships. They are offered through workplaces and are registered and coordinated through SETA’s (Sector Education and Training Authorities). These programmes include a mixture of on-the-job training and classroom education and training. African Academy is an accredited training provider in support of learnerships.
