Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice N4/5: What to Expect?
In this one-year course, students will gain a detailed understanding of construction, mechanical, piping, electrical, and structural steel detailing. Most of these disciplines are performed on a computer, with Draughting software (AutoCAD 2D Software).
The classes are taught via live streaming, with knowledgeable lecturers who can provide assistance with any questions you may have.
The program content consists of structural, building, electrical, pictorial, general, and mechanical draughting, along with Structural Steel Detailing, Mechanical Orientation, and AutoCAD 2D Software.

- Knowledge of the language
The following subjects should be studied at a Matric level or equivalent: Mathematics, Physical Science, and Technical Drawing. If you lack these qualifications, we have bridging courses to help you qualify for this course. The duration of these bridging courses is 3 months.
Bridging course N2-N3 Maths and Science – This course is designed for someone wishing to study our MDDOP program but needs Mathematics and Physical Science on a Matric level. Students can use this course as a foundation to progress into the Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice course.
Your Qualification:
In the case of successful completion of this course, students will receive a National Certificate from the Department of Higher Education.

The National N4 – N5 Certificate in Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice can lead to a career as:
- A junior draughtsperson in any of the related fields
- CAD operator
- Upon successfully completing the program, you can go on to study the Engineering Design & Draughting courses (rated N4, N5, N6).
