Its purpose is to prepare people to be high-level, capable Project Managers. In addition to the Work Experience Modules, this qualification requires the following:
- Ensure project initiation management processes are followed
- Participate in the planning process for projects
- Manage the execution and control of projects
- Follow up on the project close-out process
Phase 1: Introduction to Knowledge Management
Knowledge and Practical Skills Module:
- Having a solid understanding of the 10 project management knowledge areas.
- The use of project management tools.
- The application of problem-solving techniques.
- Risk Identification in Projects.
- An understanding of all documents related to a medium-sized project.
- The lifecycle of a project.
- Glossary of Project Management terms.
- Estimation of project costs.
Part-Time Duration: 9 consecutive Saturdays from 8:00 to 10:00.
Phase 2:

- Project integration management
- Project scope management
Practical Skills Modules:
- Interpret the project charter or brief and associated documents
- Scope Development
Part-Time Duration: 30 consecutive Saturdays
Phase 3:

- Project cost management
- Project quality management
- Project human resource management
- Project communications management
- Project risk management
- Project procurement management
- Project stakeholder management
Practical Skills Modules:
- Initiate a project
- Plan and develop a project timeline and schedule
- Plan and develop a project management approach and scope statement
- Plan for and project the cost of a project
- Plan project management systems
- Monitor and control the scope of a project
- Control the project delivery schedules and costs
- Control the project quality
- Manage and control the human resources of a project
- Conduct and control project communication and stakeholder interaction
- Manage and control project risks
- Manage and control project procurement activities
- Manage and control project close-out activities
Part-Time Duration: 35 consecutive Saturdays
Upon qualification, a learner will be able to:
- Establish specific objectives for a project.
- Preparation and execution of a project.
- Develop a project management system.
- Ensure that the project management plan is executed and controlled.
- Oversee the process of closing out a project.
